An Evening of Storytelling

Magnolia Midlands
Create the imagery in your mind as Donald Davis captivates your senses during a free Evening of Storytelling on Tuesday, January 25 at 7 p.m. Presented by Smith’s of Dublin, this event will take place at the Dublin Carnegie in Downtown Dublin, Georgia! Prominent storyteller Donald Davis grew up in a culture of storytelling in the Southern Appalachian mountains. Listening to stories from his family provided the foundation for his talent. He began retelling his family stories as a child and started adding to stories with his own life experiences. This free event requires a ticket, as space is limited. Get your ticket from Smiths of Dublin in Downtown Dublin.

Ron Campbell literally animated our childhood. Campbell’s career spanned the entire golden age of Saturday morning cartoons. Sadly, Campbell passed away in January 2021 at age 81 but he left behind dozens of paintings that he created during his retirement. These paintings were inspired by many of the beloved cartoons that he was involved with including the Saturday Morning cartoon series "The Beatles," "Yellow Submarine," "Scooby Doo," "The Smurfs," "Rugrats," "Winnie the Pooh," "George of the Jungle," "The Jetsons," "The Flintstones" and finishing his career with "Ed, Edd n Eddy." Ron Campbell’s animation paintings will be on display and available for purchase at a special pop-up art exhibit for three days only - Friday, January 28th through January 30th at Ann Jackson Gallery, 791 Atlanta Street in Roswell.
