Drive In Movie Addams Family

On Friday, October 29th, drive right up to the big screen at Southern Pines Regional Park for a drive-in movie experience as the spooky and kooky Addams Family takes a stab at suburban life in the 2019 animated version of Halloween’s favorite family. Movie starts at 8:00 PM, and admission is free!

Rock City's Rocktober Fest

Rock City’s Rocktoberfest runs Saturdays and Sundays in October (Oct. 2 through Oct.31), from 8:30 a.m. – 5 p.m. Get in touch with Rock City’s German heritage during the 15th annual Rocktoberfest. Rock City Square will be transformed for a celebration of harvests and fall foliage. This premiere autumn festival includes German music with live performances by the Wurstbrats and Musik Miesters. Other offerings returning this year are the Rock City Raptors birds of prey shows. IK The Troll King, Jerry the Mime and Caricature Artist Dennis Hart! Step into German culture as we celebrate and honor our founder Frieda Utermoehlen Carter’s heritage, with German food and fun for the whole family. "Heartbound Ministries: Art from the Inside” exhibits the significant, often overlooked talent of artists who are currently imprisoned. Approximately 60 works of art are on view, representing a wide range of artistic styles and mediums, including sculptures and displays crafted from objects found around the prison. The sale of these works benefits Heartbound’s Little Readers Book Club, which allows children of incarcerated parents to see and hear their parent reading to them via DVD. “Art from the Inside” is the only annual exhibition of art by prisoners in the state of Georgia.

Born to Run 5K

Support the Cherokee Scholars at the Born to Run 5K. Proceeds provide scholarships for Cherokee County residents attending Reinhardt University. Halloween costumes encouraged! Haunted Montrose

Throughout the month of October, Haunted Montrose is celebrating 14 years of striking fear into visitor’s hearts. Haunted Montrose sits in a remote cornfield, silently waiting for nightfall when the terror starts. An old house, cemetery, and cornfield appear normal at first glance, but the Slaughters’ collection of skins, eclectic tools of destruction and a noose designed for torturous death makes you wonder about the family who lived here and what still may be lurking inside Havoc 3-D and Experimental or when it last had human contact!

Terminus Modern Ballet Theatre presents a live and in-person performance in the natural beauty of Serenbe. “Roam” weaves together dance vignettes based around the idea of traveling the open road and the unity one might discover along the way. Downtown Dublin Farmers Market

Located on Madison Street in Downtown Dublin, the Market on Madison is a premier open-air venue with a weekly offering of local and organic produce, as well as artisan foods, farm-raised eggs, and raw honey each Saturday morning 7:30 AM until 12:30 PM from April through October. Patrons will also find a variety of handmade crafts and original art. Over the last eight seasons, Dublin’s farmers market has experienced much growth, noting more than 30 vendors each week and 350 patrons during peak produce season.

Summer Concert Series

Spend a hot summer afternoon listening to live music at Costley Mill Park, during the Third Annual Summer Concert Series. Seating is limited, so bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy free, family-friendly performances by various bands. The 2021 musical lineup will include a variety of exciting entertainment. As one of the newest self guided tours in Forsyth, this African American Heritage Guide takes you through a journey of African American history throughout Monroe County. This self-guided tour is meant to be a starting point in exploring the journey of African Americans in our community. It contains some brief biographical information on those who shaped our history; a timeline critical to putting events into context; and a brief driving tour to link people and places. Settle back into the sounds of yesterday as The Malpass Brothers bring their classic country sounds to historic Theatre Dublin on Thursday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. As sweet as sweet tea and as homey as a pan of cornbread, The Malpass Brothers bring a bygone era of classic country to Dublin, GA. With a sound only found today on 45’s, the Brothers' smooth sound and infectious energy will bring back memories of their influencers, such as Johnny Cash and Hank Williams Sr.
